  • Apple slice (optional for garnish)
  • 1/2 tsp. sugar free instant apple cider drink mix
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon (optional for rim)
  • Cinnamon stick (optional for garnish)
  • Diet ginger ale (6 oz. or to taste)
  • 1 tsp. granulated sugar (optional for rim)
  • Ice
  • 1 oz. Irish whiskey or bourbon (see notes above)


  1. If creating a cinnamon-sugar rim: Mix together cinnamon and sugar in a shallow dish large enough for the mouth of your glass
  2. Wet rim of glass with apple slice or a damp paper towel
  3. Dip in cinnamon-sugar mixture to coat edge.Pour whiskey or bourbon in bottom of glass
  4. Stir in apple cider drink mix
  5. Fill glass with ice
  6. Pour ginger ale on top and garnish with apple slice and cinnamon stick, if desired.
